Job Title
Medical Assistant I – $6,000 Sign‑on Incentive

Full Time – Days, 40 hours per week, FTE 1
VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER – Urogynecology Clinic.
The Medical Assistant supports the clinic’s physicians and patients. Responsibilities include clinical support, patient flow facilitation, and back‑office coordination. The role requires a Certified Medical Assistant, strong computer skills, and BLS certification.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and record keeping.
- Perform venous and capillary blood withdrawals, intramuscular injections, and other clinical procedures as ordered.
- Maintain examination rooms, prepare patients for procedures, and administer medications and immunizations within scope of practice.
- Manage appointment scheduling, coordinate recalls, and monitor patient flow.
- Order and inventory supplies, and perform routine maintenance of equipment.
- Handle patient and provider communication, including EMR updates, phone calls, and faxes.
- Adhere to aseptic technique, infection control, and quality assurance practices.
- Complete billing, ancillary charges, and “clean” billing submittals.
- Certified Medical Assistant with state licensing.
- 1‑year of experience preferred (minimum 2 years for OBGYN specialty).
- Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with multiple computer applications and electronic medical records.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment and uphold legal and ethical boundaries.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Assistant scope of practice and clinic operations.
- Professional, neat appearance with calm demeanor.
- Excellent customer service and patient care orientation.
- Respect for cultural diversity and effective communication.
- Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff.
