Radiation Therapist Float

Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Full Time Float Radiation Therapist at our City of Hope locations with a salary range of $60-$80.14 and a $10,000 Sign on Bonus
. The role is under direct supervision, administering radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accurate positioning and dose delivery in accordance with the designated tumor volume.

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cuts blocks, makes custom molds, and performs simple MU calculations.
• Interprets a computerized treatment plan accurately.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required; must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Experience with Halcyon and IX Linac preferred.
• Radiation Therapist I: 0-3 years of experience.
• Radiation Therapist II: 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Senior Radiation Therapist: 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.

The role requires sitting, using hands, occasionally standing and walking, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to 30 pounds. Vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges are required.

Work is performed in an office environment with significant interaction with management, staff, and external auditors and clients.
