Autism Support Technician (Behavior Technician)

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
Part‑time, 15–25+ hours per week. Block schedule options include:
- Block 1:
Monday—Friday 3 pm–8 pm - Block 2:
Monday—Friday 3 pm–6 pm - Block 3:
Monday—Friday 5 pm–8 pm - Block 4:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3 pm–8 pm
As a Behavior Technician, you’ll use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support children and teens with autism and other developmental needs. You’ll work one‑on‑one with clients in their home, school, or clinic settings, helping them learn new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
Typical activities include:
- Work 1‑on‑1 with kids and teens with autism and other developmental needs
- Follow a personalized therapy plan created by the clinical team
- Use play, routines, and activities to help clients grow
- Track progress by taking notes and recording behaviors
- Encourage independence and build everyday life skills
- Celebrate every win—big or small
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (paid or unpaid)
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds and to sit and run as needed
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute up to 20 miles or 30 minutes for sessions
- Passion for working with children, youth, and young adults with developmental disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- ABA experience or RBT certification
- CPR certification (pediatrics and adults)
- Experience managing a diverse range of maladaptive behaviors (e.g., non‑compliance, elopement, verbal and physical aggression, self‑injurious behaviors)
- Meaningful impact opportunities
