Day Shifts
Purpose Statement / Position SummaryChildren’s Hospital Los Angeles is seeking to hire a full-time Licensed Psychologist who will provide inpatient and/or outpatient behavioral health services, including screening, assessment, consultation, and intervention for infants and young children, and families referred to the Early Connection Program. The Stein Tikun Olam Early Connections Program in the Behavioral Health Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles provides comprehensive services related to the mental health needs of infants and young children (ages 0‑3) and their families.
Services include screening and interventions for young children who receive specialty medical care at CHLA (in both inpatient and outpatient settings) and their families.
- Supervised professional experience providing therapy to young children and families (ages 0‑3) and/or pediatric psychology population is required.
- Training in Child‑Parent Psychotherapy or other dyadic therapy models with young children is preferred.
- Previous experience within a medical setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the various psychosocial aspects of commonly referred medical conditions is strongly preferred.
- Experience supervising trainees is preferred.
- Strongly prefer bilingual competence (Spanish/English).
- Ph.D., Psy.
D., or Ed.D., in School, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology; prefer education from an APA‑accredited program. - Licensed Psychologist in the State of California or license eligible where applicants must have received/completed their licensure by their anticipated start date.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
