Job Summary

The Community Resource Center (CRC) Specialist II supports building relationships with members, partners, and community stakeholders, and facilitates communication and engagement to increase CRC utilization. The role coordinates referrals, provides member assistance, supports marketing initiatives, and collaborates with L.A. Care departments to deliver comprehensive member services.

Responsibilities Day‑to‑Day Representation (25%)

Coordinate member‑centric service, answer inquiries, guide members to appropriate resources, and create resource guides. Maintain CRC operations, including inventory, calendar, and vendor coordination, and answer incoming calls.

High‑Touch Customer Focus (25%)

Provide in‑person service during extended hours, implement child development activities, and support parents and guardians while they attend CRC programs.

Cross‑Collaboration (20%)

Maintain relationships within L.A. Care and Blue Shield Promise Health Plan, as well as community partners, to promote access to CRC programs and share activity insights with other L.A. Care departments.

Outreach and Engagement (15%)

Nurture relationships with stakeholders, collect community needs data, support planning and analysis of engagement activities, and assist marketing efforts to increase CRC traffic.

Implementing Strategic Initiatives (15%)

Lead special projects, define scope, deliverables, milestones, and timelines, monitor risks, and provide mitigation recommendations.

Additional Duties (10%)

Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Education Required

Associate's Degree or equivalent education/experience.

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree.

Experience Required

At least 6 months of community work focused on health care, public health, or health education, OR 6 months of operations experience with community events, projects, and stakeholder relationships. Data entry and reporting experience.

Preferred

Previous child‑development activity experience.

  • Knowledge of Medi‑Cal beneficiary populations and related services
  • Knowledge of public agency resources supporting CRC visitors
  • Bilingual proficiency in one of L.A. Care’s threshold languages (e.g., English, Spanish, Chinese, etc.)
Licenses / Certifications Required

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified within 120 days of hire.

Preferred

Optional: additional training such as MOAB, de‑escalation techniques, safe lifting practices, Emergency Action Plan (EAP), and California Mandated Reporter qualification.

Physical Requirements

Light physical demands.

Additional Information

Travel to offsite locations may be required.
