Description
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services with compassion, precision, and professionalism. Your expertise allows you to operate complex nuclear medicine equipment with confidence and perform procedures with minimal supervision.
You will be responsible for accurately interpreting and documenting imaging data, maintaining up-to-date medical records, and communicating clearly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and relate to patients of all ages with empathy ensures an exceptional standard of care. As part of a collaborative medical team, your interpersonal and communication skills will help foster a supportive and respectful clinical environment.
Salary Range: $63.22 - $83.39/hour
Qualifications- Valid Certifications as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with either the Nuclear Medicine Technology Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Valid licensure in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch, State of California.
- Working knowledge of the above-listed equipment.
- Reading skills to understand patient records, forms, technical procedure and policy manuals, and other related documents written in standard English.
- Speaking skills to collect and clearly convey information to people of various educational, cultural, and economic backgrounds using tact, diplomacy, correct grammar, and vocabulary.
- Interpersonal skills to work as part of a medical team by establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with physicians, medical staff, colleagues, co-workers, patients, and the public.
- Ability to set priorities to multitask, shifting demands, deadlines, and a heavy workload.
- Writing skills to maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and logs.
- Ability to work with self-initiative and minimum supervision in the performance of nuclear medicine procedures.
- Interpersonal skills to relate to patients of all age groups or their families with sensitivity and compassion.
