About Us
Child and Family Guidance Center (CFGC), established in 1962, provides community mental health and social services in the San Fernando and Antelope Valleys. Our mission is to empower children and families to achieve health and well‑being through innovative, culturally competent mental health services.
PositionFull‑time Clinical Psychologist – Balboa site, Northridge. This role is primarily responsible for delivering mental‑health treatment services to children and adolescents within designated programs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, case managers, and other professionals.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and testing, providing feedback to the multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions to an assigned caseload.
- Provide intakes, ongoing treatment planning, and discharge planning.
- Offer field‑based services, including home or community visits.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor client progress.
- Manage client crises and symptoms during non‑business hours and participate in on‑call rotations.
- Engage caregivers in the treatment process through collateral sessions and family programs.
- Meet performance expectations for billable hours as assigned by the supervisor.
- Complete all required documentation in compliance with agency policies, HIPAA, and funder standards.
- Participate in supervision, meetings, and training related to evidence‑based practices.
- Work Monday‑Friday, 40 hours (including two evenings per week until 8:00 PM).
- Bilingual English‑Spanish preferred.
- Experience conducting psychological testing.
- Experience providing direct mental‑health services to children and adolescents.
- Skill in working with highly traumatized children and families and managing high‑risk situations.
- Strong knowledge of culturally competent services.
- Excellent collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team and ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and flexibility.
- Ph.D. or Psy.
D. in Clinical Psychology; eligible to register as a waivered or licensed psychologist.
- Waivered Psychologist: $76,640
- Licensed Psychologist: $77,640 – $83,640 (based on experience).
- $3,000 differential for bilingual Spanish‑English proficiency.
