Job Description
All About Ultrasound is seeking a skilled Per Diem Ultrasound Tech for our Prenatal Diagnostic Center. This position operates one of three outreach clinics in Beverly Hills or another potential location, with a regular designated site and possible backup coverage at the other sites.

RoleAs the Ultrasound Technician you will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in an outpatient setting, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and effective patient care.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams accurately, efficiently, and effectively.
- Maintain current equipment and exam competency as required.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain imaging equipment and accessory instruments; report defective equipment immediately and mark as "out of service."
- Complete daily administrative tasks such as creating orders, correcting exam visit type, charging for supplies, ordering medication, documenting medication administration, and completing Time Out documentation.
- Participate in the introduction and implementation of new procedures/protocols and in evaluating new imaging equipment.
- Perform weekend and shift start/end duties such as forwarding phones, updating portable assignments, cleaning and stocking rooms for the next shift, and sending out shift reports.
- Engage in performance improvement activities and other team goals.
- Adhere to department productivity standards.
- Assist physicians with procedures, including preparing supplies on a sterile field, loading biopsy devices, and ensuring sterility. Also assist in holding medication containers supplied by a Licensed Independent Practitioner.
- Ensure sharps, contrast agents, and biohazards are secure or locked.
- Document ultrasound scans and procedures appropriately, and provide patient and family education when relevant.
- Perform portable exams in the Maternal-Fetal Care Unit and Labor and Delivery.
- Follow the high‑level disinfection process for transvaginal probes and update the HLD logbook.
- Enter charges into CS Link accurately.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program required.
- Minimum of 3 years of sonography experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a high‑risk OB ambulatory clinic or hospital inpatient unit performing diagnostic ultrasounds and working with MFMs.
- ARDMS OB/GYN certification required.
- NT Certification (NTQR or FMF) required, or willing to obtain within 6 months of start date.
- Preference for Fetal Echo certification or willingness to become certified.
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
