The Fire Department & Law Enforcement Continuing Education and Quality Improvement Division is seeking a per‑diem Fire Department Nurse Educator to serve within the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care at the David Geffen School of Medicine. Key responsibilities include providing continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and coordinating ride‑a‑longs to maintain the certification and licensure of EMTs and paramedics across over 24 affiliated state agencies in Los Angeles County.
The role also ensures compliance with the LA County Department of Health Services, conducts pilot studies, and promotes best practices across the emergency medical services network.
Qualified candidates will possess a nursing degree, EMT or paramedic certification, and experience in prehospital care education or quality improvement. Strong communication, organizational, and instructional skills are essential to support the mission of maintaining high‑standard emergency medical services.
