Job DescriptionThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist works collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality imaging. The Technologist supports the Radiologist by assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and is responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Radiology team to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Process and transmit imaging studies to PACS.
- Maintain high quality imaging standards.
- Assist Radiologists during diagnostic sessions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH, A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
- One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
- At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCNMT or CAMRT.
- Current BCLS (AHA) required.
- Proficient computer skills.
La Palma Intercommunity Hospital offers competitive compensation. Estimated starting compensation for this role is $65 per shift; the exact amount will be determined at hiring time based on skill set, experience, education, credentials and licensure.
