Job Title:
Clinical Research Coordinator

Location:
Los Angeles, CA 90017


Duration: 8 weeks with definite extension

Shift: 8 :00 - 4:30 Monday to Friday occasional weekends

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Sr. Director, is responsible for coordinating the operations of office support staff, including the management of personnel and contract services, materials management and regulatory compliance.

• Computer skills

Required:
LA City Fire Card within 2 weeks of employment (PHGSH only)
Minimum 2-Year office management experience
High school diploma or equivalence

Preferred:
Bachelor's degree preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safeguards and preserves the confidentiality of patient's protected health information in accordance with State and Federal (HIPAA) regulatory requirements, hospital and departmental policies.
  • Ensures a safe patient environment and adherence to safety practices per policy.
  • With consideration to age, employees utilize the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs of patients/significant other when administering care.
  • Manages Contracts personnel files, which includes monitoring compliance as required GSH and regulatory agencies
  • Monitor/Approved Contract personnel time keeping and submitting for approval.
  • Reconcile invoices of the Contract personnel against staffing and make sure invoices are accurate, submit for approval from the Director and submit approved invoices to Finance.
  • Ensures that payroll information of the Contracted Personnel is submitted and that records are appropriately maintained.
  • Coordinates with other areas to assure timely completion of tasks as determined by the Director.
  • Will assist the Director, completing projects: generating reports or making decisions which ensure effective and efficient department operations.
  • Advises the Director of concerns or potential problems, patient related problems, department problems and hospital/patient problems.
  • Coordinates the participation of employees in mandatory education programs; participates in the assessment of training needs of staff; implements program to address needs and provides training as needed.
  • Prioritizes and distributes work ensuring timely completion of work requests; may supervise the work of others.
  • Regularly provides quality service to customers; ensures that customers are appropriately received and services by department personnel and those services are consistent with need.
  • Maintains and generates productivity reports, staffing sheets, attendance records and budget reports using appropriate business formats.
