Position Summary- Manage the day‑to‑day operations.
- Provide leadership in building a team and an organization that assumes responsibility for achieving both the mission and financial/operational objectives of Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
- Provide strategic leadership in bringing together diverse constituencies to conceptualize, articulate, and implement a shared vision for the medical center.
- Provide leadership in creating a culture predicated on growing trust among stakeholders.
- Maintain open channels of communication and foster information sharing.
- Provide leadership in developing and executing key strategies that differentiate Hollywood Medical Center in service and clinical experience.
- Promote open, effective, and ongoing communication among employees, physician leadership, and medical staff.
- Create a decisive, action‑oriented, flexible culture that seizes opportunities to advance quality, service, and performance.
- Ensure integration of quality, service, and efficiency improvements into day‑to‑day operations.
- Establish clear goals and objectives and ensure timely follow‑through.
- Mentor and develop direct reports and staff, emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, and sharing best practices.
- Guide the development and implementation of ongoing programs to improve performance, manage costs, and improve patient care quality.
- Ensure compliance with organization policies, procedures, and regulatory agencies; effectively utilize personnel, materials, space, and equipment; and deliver effective customer service.
- Recommend and implement internal policies and procedures; interpret and apply company policies.
- Manage the budget to meet fiscal goals for capital, payroll, and non‑payroll expenses.
- Perform financial and staffing analysis; coordinate reconciliation of accounts and budget reporting.
- Advise management of serious variances and recommend solutions.
- Supervise multiple ancillary functions such as secretarial support, systems development, communications, and training.
- Provide human resources support across the functional area, including hiring, salary determination, and performance evaluation processes.
- Direct the unit’s participation in diversity employment programs.
- Compile statistics and produce EEO/AA reports for human resources and management.
- Facilitate and administer training and educational programs, including professional development, system training, and train‑the‑trainer sessions.
- Identify service and operational problems and issues; provide project management support to research, develop, and implement solutions.
- Edit/produce organizational unit communications such as newsletters and directories.
- Represent the organizational unit on administrative matters.
- With HR, implement integrated human resources strategies to ensure quality, recruitment, retention, and development of key personnel.
- Make sound decisions on best use of resources to support medical center priorities and strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance in stewarding the organization through inevitable change that integrates diverse viewpoints and builds ownership.
- Support successful operational implementation and use of technology and new products.
Consistently supports compliance and the Code of Conduct (Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center's code of conduct) by maintaining privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting organizational assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non‑compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, local laws, regulations, accreditation, and licensing requirements, and the hospital’s policies and procedures.
