Job SummaryThe CT Technologist performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols. The technologist ensures high‑quality images, prioritizes patient safety, and maintains compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards. This is a Day/night time position with flexible scheduling based on departmental needs.
Key Responsibilities- Need for CT TECH Day/Night
- MUST HAVE HAVE CT LICENSE UP TO DATE & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE.
- The CT Technologist works collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality images.
- The CT Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
- Perform CT imaging procedures using proper technique and patient positioning.
- Verify patient identification and physician orders prior to exam.
- Prepare and administer contrast materials safely and effectively under supervision and per protocol.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and submit for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation in PACS/RIS systems.
- Follow radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications.
- Education and Work Experience minimum 2 year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
- Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.
- Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required.
- Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire. Proficient computer skills.
