Position: Cosmetologist / Hair Stylist Educator / Trainer

About you:

At least 1 year of experience as a hairstylist or cosmetologist trainer/educator in a salon, barber shop, or spa
Current and valid state Cosmetology license
Strong organizational skills and a positive, learning-focused attitude
Excellent communication skills for all situations
Proven stellar customer service skills
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in challenging moments

Responsibilities

Support nearby Drybar shops with auditions, training, product understanding, shop compliance, and morale boosting.

Maintain service quality and provide feedback to management.

Conduct effective training for shop team members per Drybar standards.

Lead orientation for new hires, including blowout techniques and client service training.

Identify ongoing training needs and recognize team successes.

Provide in-shop support, including performing at least 20 blowouts weekly.

Assess stylist talent through interviews and auditions.

Train team on new products, tools, and promotional activities.

Assist in managing shift leads, stylists, and bartenders, understanding all policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies.

Report work hours accurately and monitor inventory supplies.

Share weekly updates on services, products, and promotions with staff.

Provide feedback on training effectiveness and participate in leadership calls.

Deliver advanced education and ensure stylists meet performance standards.

Respond promptly to customer inquiries and participate in team events.

Follow company policies, work rules, and support our mission and goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum: High school diploma or GED, valid Cosmetology license, 2+ years styling experience, proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and confidentiality, excellent communication skills.

Preferred: Experience in multi-unit retail operations, bilingual Spanish.

Must be able to adapt teaching techniques to diverse audiences and complete required training courses.
