Job Title: Tax Attorney (Tax Resolution)
Location: Encino, CA (on-site position)
Employment Type: Full-Time position (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Base salary range between $140,000 - $170,000/yr W-2 + Comprehensive Employee Benefits Package (

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Tax Attorney to join our team! This position centers on performing fascinating, hands-on work by providing the unique opportunity to consult with a myriad of clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment while creatively collaborating with colleagues to meaningfully contribute to resolving our client s complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a broad range of duties centered around Tax Resolution.
- Work with tax authorities to remove or modify collection enforcement actions, such as levies and garnishments.
- Speak with clients over the phone to explain and elaborate on our process, providing insights on unique Federal tax matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate tax provisions within transaction documents.
- Conduct due diligence and collaborate with teams on transaction structure and execution.
- Manage independent work streams while contributing to larger team initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of substantive Federal income tax law experience, preferably within the Tax Resolution field.
- Knowledge of basic Tax Resolution principles including Penalty Abatement, Installment Agreement, Lien withdrawal, Currently Non-Collectable, Offer in Compromise, and more.
- Strong knowledge of Forms 433A and 433B.
- Proven track record advising on complex, multi-faceted transactional matters.
- Exceptional legal drafting and analytical writing skills.
- Documented knowledge and experience with Collection Due Process (CDP), Automated Collection Systems (ACS), Revenue Officers, Revenue Agents, Collection Appeal Request (CAP), and more.
- In-depth understanding of tax considerations for partnerships, corporations, and cross-border structures.
- Extremely organized, self-motivated, and adept at managing competing priorities effectively, including time-sensitive matters across multiple engagements.
- Strong interpersonal abilities with polished client communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at managing competing priorities.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Being an active member of the California Bar, verified by copy of active Attorney card upon request.
- Previous experience at a free tax clinic is strongly preferred.
Technical
Skills:
Exceptional computer literacy, including CRM tools, financial software, and/or data management platforms.
