Tax Manager

Our client is a private equity investment firm. They seek a Tax Manager to join their Los Angeles, CA office. This opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule and comprehensive salary and benefits.

• Work with external tax accountants to review and file annual federal, state, and other returns
• Liaise with Fund Accountants to prepare taxable income estimates and review tax calculations
• Oversee financial statements, tax filings, estate plans, and special projects for HNW clients
• Provide support to transaction tax structure and fundraising review process
• Implement tax strategies aimed at minimizing tax liability for individuals and entities
• Collaborate with lawyers, trustees, and accountants to execute strategies and initiatives
• Manage the tracking of investments, capital calls, distributions, and related financial activities
• Assess investment tracking software to support efficient financial management
• Assist with cash flow planning, portfolio allocation, and budgeting activities for individuals
• Review schedule K-1s/tax returns for reporting accuracy before disseminating and filing

• Bachelor's degree, Master's in Tax preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Public or combo (Big 4+) accounting experience
• Organized with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to multitask and meet strict deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CPA strongly preferred
