A generalist Los Angeles-based middle-market private investment firm is growing and hiring for 3 Investment Associates to join its team. The firm was founded by former mega-fund private equity partners.
This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial investment team where you will take on meaningful responsibility across the full investment lifecycle, from diligence and deal execution to portfolio company oversight and value-creation initiatives. This role is well suited for an investment professional looking for strong deal reps, broad exposure, and direct senior-level mentorship.
The Investment Associate will be responsible for:
- Execution of market, industry, and company-specific research
- Financial modeling, valuation analysis, and downside / return scenarios across investments
- Taking point on due diligence processes and coordinating with third-party advisors
- Assisting with transaction execution and investment committee materials
- Monitoring and supporting the existing portfolio
- Supporting operating initiatives and portfolio company analysis
The Investment Associate should have the following qualifications:
- 1.5-4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Private Credit, or related transaction-focused roles
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skillset
- Bachelor’s degree from a top academic institution
- Strong interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and excellent work ethic
- Interest in middle-market investing across sectors
