UCG Solutions is a management consulting firm delivering financial, operational, and strategic advisory services to utility companies. UCG collaborates with clients to assist them with high-impact, complex initiatives that help strengthen financial operations, improve controls and navigate regulatory and organizational change.

UCG is seeking a Senior Consultant or Manager to support a range of accounting and finance focused client engagements. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in financial accounting, financial reporting, or auditing who are looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic consulting environment.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, solve complex problems, and contribute to meaningful improvements in their financial operations. You will partner with client teams on initiatives related to corporate accounting and finance processes, while also gaining valuable exposure to utility operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• At least 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a regulated industry
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP guidelines and internal controls
• Experience with month‑end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to learn new concepts quickly
• Ability to understand client needs, execute structured work plans and adapt effectively in dynamic environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
• Deliver high-quality work products with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship

• Experience in the utility industry or other regulated sectors
• Familiarity with FERC accounting, regulatory reporting, or cost‑of‑service frameworks
• Management consulting experience
• Certified Public Accountant (active or in-progress)
• Experience with SOX compliance, audit coordination, or control design
• Experience with financial planning and modeling

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively remotely, as well as at the client site
• Ability to drive to local client sites from your home location, when needed
• Ability to travel to client sites, primarily on the West Coast, when needed

• The salary range is $100,000 to $185,000. Qualified candidates will be evaluated based on skills, fit, and experience for either the Senor Consultant or Manager position. Based on the evaluation, and if UCG makes an offer, the candidate will receive an offer within that salary range.
