Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Controller to lead our finance and accounting operations, playing a pivotal role in driving the financial health and strategic direction of the organization. Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining robust internal controls for cash management.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of timely and accurate financial reports, monitoring progress against budget and advising senior leadership on financial status.
- Facilitate the annual budgeting process, analyzing financial plans and actual results to identify variances and implement corrective actions.
- Manage job cost accounting to ensure alignment of revenues and expenditures with specific projects, enhancing financial transparency.
- Collaborate with operations leaders to forecast cash flow and optimize financial resources across the organization.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.
- Coordinate the annual audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong foundation in accounting and audit.
- Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams and enhancing operational performance.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budget development, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
- Experience with accounting systems such as Great Plains General Ledger / Microsoft Dynamics; familiarity with UKG and CRM systems is a plus.
- Experience in job cost accounting environments with a diverse range of project sizes.
- Knowledge of U.S. Export Control Laws and compliance requirements.
