Financial Analyst (FP&A) for Award-Winning Film & Television Studio

Location: West Hollywood

Pay Rate: $35-40.00/hour (85-90k FT)

Schedule: 9:00am-6:00pm | Onsite M-F

Duration: 3-4 months (potential temp to hire for the right fit)

Our client is seeking an FP&A Finance Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for its film and TV slate. This role partners closely with Production, Accounting, and Content Strategy and reports to the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis.

This opportunity was created to provide immediate support during a period of high activity. The analyst will join a collaborative team of three, handling core FP&A responsibilities while also supporting project-based initiatives. There is potential for the role to evolve into a full-time position, though the long-term structure is still under evaluation.

Key Core Responsibilities
  • Support monthly film and TV project model actualization, quarterly reforecasts, and annual budget at department and consolidated level
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management report and trackers
  • Support weekly cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning, partner with Accounting and Production Finance on cash visibility, funding needs, and bank balance reporting; partner with Accounting and Production to manage AR tracking
  • Prepare quarterly actualization of G&A expenses
  • Support foreign exchange management, hedge execution and tracking
Key Projects
  • Support new reporting and actualization processes by leveraging capabilities of new ERP system and AI tools
  • Assist in financial data migration of historical film and TV projects models
  • Manage library titles retirement process
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking or corporate FP&A, ideally in the entertainment industry
  • Bachelor's degree, with an excellent academic record
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling experience
  • Ability to thrive and multitask in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, strong desire to learn, and a passion for media and entertainment
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and manage evolving deadlines
