Overview
Senior Corporate Accountant job at Consultative Search Group. Los Angeles, CA.
This position will act oversee and ensure the accuracy and timely completion of Company’s corporate financials, aid and monitor all tax filings, and assist with finance initiatives
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly financials, which includes income statements, balance sheets, statement of cash flows, variance analyses, and various other accounting statements and reports
- Manage the close process (monthly, quarter, and annually), which includes, but not limited to, the monthly intercompany settlement processes, customization of reports, and preparation of various month end reports
- Compile and track actuals vs budget
- Review fee calculations and coordinate the collection of fees
- Reconcile credit card transactions and bank accounts
- Support other departments and teams with accounting and finance inquiries and needs
- Review the tax returns prepared by third party tax accountants
- Assist with tax inquiries and annual audits
- Coordinate with third party tax advisors on tax appeals
- Liaise with third party tax accountants and coordinate and manage tax filings and estimate payments
- Undertake ad hoc requests
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal, technological, organizational, and analytical skills are required
- CPA a plus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Problem solving
- Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Able to identify and mitigate risks that may jeopardize the integrity of financial statements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Multitasking and prioritizing work to meet deadlines
- A strong understanding of US GAAP and Financial Statement knowledge as it pertains to funds and partnerships
