Purpose Statement / Position SummaryThe Financial Analyst II will provide the department with financial support by participating in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for CHLA and the Finance/Accounting department. Responsibilities include review and coordination of grant reimbursements and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with hospital policy. The analyst assists in preparing interim and final financial reports, variance analyses, and departmental budgets.
The position requires moderate supervision, ensuring compliance and sound business practices.
- Participate in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for CHLA and Finance/Accounting department.
- Review and coordinate grant reimbursements and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance with hospital policy.
- Assist in preparation of interim and final financial reports, variance analyses, and departmental budgets.
- Perform responsibilities with moderate supervision, ensuring compliance and sound business practices.
- 3+ years of financial analyst experience required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience highly preferred.
- Healthcare or academic experience preferred.
- Knowledge of People Soft accounting preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
