Thorben Consulting is seeking experienced and highly motivated Financial Systems Analysts with 3 –7 years of experience to provide comprehensive financial management support and technical expertise. This role supports clients in Los Angeles and surrounding areas south of Santa Barbara. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong foundation in financial management principles and a proven ability to analyze budgets, monitor performance, and develop strategic financial recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management Support:
Deliver direct financial management support to branches, offices, organizations, or departments. - Budgeting and Planning:
Provide guidance and technical assistance in the development of annual budgets, including the review of budget estimates and proposals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives. - Performance Analysis:
Evaluate organizational performance and assess the financial impact of programs and policies. - Financial Review:
Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate financial requests, assess program trade-offs, and identify alternative funding strategies. - Research and Policy Development:
Analyze historical and current budgets, research economic and financial trends, and develop policies and guidelines governing budget formulation and execution. - Coordination and Reporting:
Coordinate financial activities among stakeholders, manage multiple funding sources, track budgets, costs, and variances, and prepare executive-level reports and summaries. - Recommendations and Analysis:
Perform financial reporting and analysis, develop courses of action (COAs), and provide informed recommendations on financial issues. - Training and Compliance:
Deliver training on new budget procedures and ensure adherence to financial management processes, policies, regulations, and organizational strategic objectives.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Bachelor's degree in Financial Analysis, Financial Management, or related field
