Office Non-QM Underwriter

Position: Mortgage Underwriter – Residential Lending
Location: North Hollywood, CA (On-site required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 annually, plus bonus
Employment Type: Full-time

Our client, a well-established mortgage lender in North Hollywood, is seeking an experienced residential mortgage underwriter with strong Non-QM experience to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on Non-QM, Agency, and FHA underwriting.

We do not set the requirements for the role — they are determined by the client.

• Full file underwriting of residential loans including Non-QM, Agency, and FHA

• Analyze complex income and asset documentation (Bank Statements, P&L, WVOE, DSCR, and asset-based lending)

• Ensure files meet all investor and internal guidelines

• Communicate with internal teams to support smooth pipeline flow

• Stay current on industry guidelines and changes

• At least 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience

• Non-QM underwriting experience is required

• Proficiency in Encompass LOS

• Familiarity with Agency and FHA guidelines

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

• Candidates actively working or with a recent gap of less than 6 months

• Comfortable working on-site in North Hollywood

• Base salary: $75,000–$95,000 depending on experience

• Bonus potential
