This position will have primary responsibility for the review and accuracy of the HMDA and CRA loan data required to be collected and reported in accordance with the Bank and regulatory requirements. The Compliance Officer I is responsible for conducting monthly validation of HMDA and CRA data and providing technical expertise and assistance to the Business Units on regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Area #1 (100%) Compliance Execution- Plan,, and execute the compliance testing/monitoring program to identify gaps. Communicate the results with the business units and monitor progress to complete the management corrective actions.
- Perform a secondary review of testing done by other compliance staff and provide feedback.
- Participate in compliance activities and programs designed to ensure that all areas of departments and the Bank are compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Respond to compliance related inquiries and questions from other departments, perform technical research and organize the support for problem solving.
- Identify regulatory trends, developments, and reporting requirements, and execute any required changes to current policies and practices.
- Provide examination support to the supervisor for internal and external audits and inspections.
- Provide training to other departments on regulatory compliance matters and in response to audit or regulatory findings.
- Participate in compliance activities and projects as requested by the supervisor to enhance the overall compliance management system.
- Successfully complete all mandatory training on related Bank compliance as well as other laws and regulations as assigned in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of HMDA and CRA data reporting requirements
- 4+ years of experience in banking compliance, examinations, audit, and/or related field of commercial banking industry is preferred.
- Experience with examinations from regulatory agencies such as FDIC, DBO, or FRB, is preferred.
- BA/BS from an accredited university is preferred and CRCM designation is strongly recommended.
- Experience with lending-related regulations including:
- Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
- Community Reinvestment Act
- Truth in Lending/Regulation Z
- Effective written, presentation, communication, planning, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged period of times; operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to walk and stand and lift and move records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
- Standard office environment. Noise level in work environment is usually average. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The base pay range for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr.
- USD $/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
