VP, Investment Operations - Private Credit
A leading global investment management firm is looking for a results-driven VP of Investment Operations who will play a critical role in the operational engine that supports the full private credit deal lifecycle. This opportunity is for a driven middle‑office professional at the crossroads of investment execution, legal documentation, data accuracy, and cross‑functional collaboration.
$250–$285K Total Compensation (base + full annual bonus)
Hybrid: 3 days/week in office
What You’ll Do- Serve as a central hub for private credit transactions—ensuring deals are executed cleanly, data is captured accurately, and assets are administered with precision post-close.
- Support a diverse set of responsibilities across the private credit lifecycle, including funding, asset onboarding, monitoring workflows, reporting accuracy, and more.
- Manage the private credit deal pipeline and ensure timely tracking.
- Review legal documents (credit agreements, amendments, fee letters) to extract and interpret key operational terms.
- Support relationships with banks, custodians, facilities, rating agencies, co‑investors, auditors and other stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between investment teams and back‑office functions—aligning systems, processes, and responsibilities.
- Partner with legal, tax, accounting, compliance, and technology on end‑to‑end deal execution.
- Develop and enhance policies, procedures, controls, and documentation.
- Escalate operational issues appropriately and drive systematic improvements.
- Support process automation and contribute to long‑term platform enhancements.
- Oversee document management for private credit transactions.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in operations within asset management, investment banking, or financial services.
- 3+ years specifically supporting private credit / middle‑office operations, including document review for key data points and operational terms.
- Strong understanding of private credit strategies—corporate direct lending required; BSL exposure a plus.
- Deep knowledge of finance fundamentals, process workflows, and cross‑functional operations.
- Excellent analytical ability and comfort navigating complex operational challenges.
- High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and independently drive deliverables forward.
- Highly organized with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Proactive, driven, and able to thrive in a fast‑moving environment.
- Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working under time pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Known for integrity, accountability, and follow‑through.
