Skybound is a dynamic, multi-platform entertainment company that develops and commercializes original and existing IP across television, film, gaming, comics, and consumer products. As a global organization with entities in North America, Europe, and Asia, Skybound is seeking a FP&A Manager, Games to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for our Video Game projects in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
The FP&A Manager drives forecasting, budgeting, and P&L analysis while providing actionable insights on revenue opportunities and cost optimization. You’ll develop deep knowledge of our game portfolio, build financial models, and partner with production, publishing, and marketing to align financial strategy with operational decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, gaming industry experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Reports: This position will report to the Director of FP&A
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Portfolio Expert – Develop deep working knowledge of all video game projects, from production timelines to monetization plans.
- Forecasting & Budgeting – Assist in preparing and updating forecasts, annual budgets, and long‑range financial plans.
- P&L Insight – Track and report on key drivers and assumptions in the division’s P&L, flagging variances and trends.
- Revenue & Cost Analysis – Support evaluation of additional revenue streams (e.g., expansions, DLC, partnerships) and cost management opportunities.
- Monthly Reconciliation – Coordinate monthly budget-to-actual reviews with production and accounting; investigate variances and ensure accurate reporting.
- Decision Support – Build and maintain financial models, perform ad‑hoc analyses, and develop clear, concise presentations for leadership.
- Variance Analysis – Assist in monthly and quarterly variance reporting, clearly articulating drivers to senior leaders.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration – Partner with production, publishing, and marketing to align financial insights with operational decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or FP&A — entertainment/media or gaming experience a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with financial planning systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills — able to synthesize and present findings to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Interest in video games and awareness of industry trends.
Job Type: Regular, Full-Time
Salary Range: $115,000 - $165,000
- Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc.
