WhatWill You Do
- Prepare, review, and approve all label statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Analyze and interpret royalty agreements/contracts, entering and maintaining data in royalty systems.
- Supervise and manage Royalty Department staff, assigning tasks and overseeing daily workflow.
- Drive process improvements to streamline statement generation and enhance department efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers, Partners, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Conduct reviews of incoming statements and support audit processes, as needed.
- Lead or participate in special projects to support business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting/royalty experience in the music industry, including hands-on work with royalty contracts and calculations.
- Proficiency with at least one of the following or any other royalty system:
Curve, Record Maestro, SR1, or Tone. - Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, macros, pivot tables, and data transformation).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
