• Hourly pay: $50/hr

  Leading digital streaming network (Los Angeles, CA 90038 - Hybrid, Must be onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
• W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
• 40 hours/week, 3-6 Month Assignment, Possible extension/conversion

A leading digital streaming network seeks an Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for effective financial and strategic planning support and analysis of the division's business segments, as well as special projects as called upon by management.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare all journal entries related to Aviation, including accruals, recharges, and allocation of administrative costs.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, providing a detailed analysis of actual financial activity compared to the annual budget and latest estimate.
• Prepare the annual budget and quarterly estimates, including a thorough review and analysis of supporting financial documentation.
• Maintain the Aviation database, which retains details from all flight logs by plane.
• Prepare quarterly/annual requests for insurance, tax, and audit (internal and external).
• Work closely with our operations staff to ensure proper planning and accounting for aviation.

Accountant Qualifications:

• 3-4+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Experience in the media and entertainment industry is preferred.
• Experience with Hyperion (Essbase/Smartview), Oracle, and SAP preferred.
• Analytical, System (Oracle or SAP) experience.
• Strong (and current) technical knowledge of US GAAP is preferred.
• Intermediate-Advanced skills in Excel are preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Access, including data entry and table maintenance, is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial analysis, accounting procedures, and reporting is preferred.
• Customer service-oriented is preferred.

Shift:

• 9 am - 6 pm.
• Must be willing to work 10-12 hours per day during the monthly close period to meet deadlines.
