About RDI

RDI is an integrated IVD clinical research organization supporting multiple diagnostic companies across active clinical programs. Our environment is highly project-driven, with multiple concurrent client engagements, milestone-based revenue, and complex cost structures that require strong financial discipline and project-level visibility.

As RDI continues to scale, we are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the organization, with a strong focus on multi-project cost tracking and profitability.

Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in financial planning, project accounting, and performance analysis across multiple active client projects. This role requires hands-on ownership of financial tracking at the project and client level, supporting leadership with accurate, timely insights that inform operational and strategic decision-making.

This position works closely with operations, accounting, and leadership to ensure expenses, revenue, and margins are clearly understood across all ongoing clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly financial performance versus budget and forecast
  • Identify key drivers, trends, and variances impacting revenue, costs, and margins

Multi-Project Financial Tracking

  • Track expenses, budgets, and profitability across multiple concurrent client projects
  • Maintain project-level financial models including actuals, forecasts, and cost-to-complete
  • Monitor project burn rates and proactively flag budget overruns or margin risk

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts with detailed project-level inputs
  • Partner with operations to align financial assumptions with study timelines and activity levels
  • Update forecasts as scopes, timelines, or client activity change

Revenue, Pricing & Contracts

  • Support revenue recognition analysis for milestone-based and project-driven work
  • Assist with pricing analysis for new and existing client engagements
  • Review financial assumptions tied to client contracts and project scopes
  • Track pricing performance and identify margin erosion or scope-related risk

Project Accounting & Quote-to-Cash

  • Track financial performance across the full project lifecycle from contract execution through invoicing and collection
  • Support quote-to-cash workflows by validating pricing, cost assumptions, and margin expectations
  • Partner with accounting to ensure alignment between project execution and financial reporting

Finance & GAAP Support

  • Support GAAP-aligned financial reporting through detailed analysis and reconciliation
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of GAAP-compliant financial processes
  • Partner with accounting on accruals, expense classification, and reporting accuracy
  • Help document financial processes and analytical assumptions for audit readiness

Reporting & Business Insight

  • Prepare management reports and dashboards with clear project and client-level visibility
  • Communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders across operations and leadership
  • Improve reporting tools and processes to enhance clarity, consistency, and efficiency

Banking & Investor Support

  • Prepare financial analyses and schedules to support banking and lender requests
  • Assist leadership with financial materials for investor or board-level discussions
  • Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or project-based finance roles
  • Proven experience tracking expenses across multiple concurrent projects or clients
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
  • Experience working in services, CRO, or project-driven environments preferred
  • Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
What We Offer
  • Opportunity to work in a complex, multi-client CRO environment
  • High visibility into operational and financial decision-making
  • Collaborative, fast-paced culture with room for growth
