Asset & Wealth Management-Los Angeles-Associate, Business Development

Job Duties

Associate, Business Development with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Los Angeles, California. Leverage prior background and experiences to build an advisory business. Create comprehensive wealth management plans for high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. Work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from the firm’s deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities, and global reach.

Deliver the firm’s investment platform, spanning all product and service offerings, including tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and private banking and lending services. Work to source and develop new business opportunities as well as support existing client relationships. Display a strong investment acumen and knowledge of the firm’s platform and asset allocation strategies.

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include three (3) years of experience with:

• Creating multi-asset allocation plans at an institutional level and assessing the suitability and relevance of specific investments to meet client objectives
• Filtering, analyzing and selecting investment products at an institutional level, including mutual funds, ETFs and other investment vehicles
• Trading stocks, bonds and derivatives at an institutional level, understanding the different trading algorithms, limits and techniques to minimize price impact
• Understanding options theory and trading, including all elements that affect their pricing to assess the attractiveness of structured products
• Using market data platforms such as Bloomberg (API level), and using different programming languages (including VBA, Python, SQL) for data analysis purposes, as well as for process automation and optimization
• Building rapport with current and prospective clients by soliciting and building new relationships through cold outreach and reasonable follow-up

Annual base salary for this Los Angeles, California-based position is $120,000 – $135,000.
