Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Our growing company is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to showcase their skills and contribute to our company's financial health. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the high level accounting operations while supervising a team of Accountants. They will also be expected to ensure our accounting practices align with GAAP and utilize the accounting software for financial tasks.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Income Statement (Profit & Loss), Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows in accordance to GAAP.
• Manage the analysis and explanation of variances between actual financial results and budgeted/forecasted amounts.
• Ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of financial reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Manage a team of Senior Accountants
• Oversee all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with applicable GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, including the documentation of such procedures.
• Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Collaborate with external auditors, providing all required information and addressing queries.
• Develop and manage financial systems/models and carry out business modelling and risk assessments.
• Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modelling for senior company leadership.
• Continually assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 10-15 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other accounting best practices.
• Excellent mathematical skills; ability to create and manage accounting and financial spreadsheets.
• High attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage and direct a team.
