Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

We are seeking a full‑time Local Controller with various industry experience to become a permanent member of our Los Angeles team! This role requires 10+ years of overall accounting experience, and you will be responsible for managing the accounting functions for multiple clients throughout the Los Angeles area.

• Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team
• Prepare engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, technical accounting memos, account reconciliations and other work papers); assist engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budget
• Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
• Understand the client’s organization, procedures and internal policies
• Participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development
• Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projects
• Responsible for billing and realization on assigned clients
• Supervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectively within or leading a team
• Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Minimum of 10 years experience in progressive accounting roles, both within public accounting‑audit and corporate roles.
• Various ERP experience.
• Active CPA preferred
• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
