Our client seeks an SBA Loan Underwriter (Bilingual – Korean) based in the greater Los Angeles, CA area. This role involves underwriting SBA 7a and 504 loans, gathering financial information, analyzing complex credit data, underwriting loan requests, recommending credit actions, preparing credit memorandums, and coordinating activities in support of the credit process.

This position offers a salary of up to $88K, full benefits, and potential bonuses. (This is an on-site role, not remote.)

SBA Loan Underwriter responsibilities include:

• Must be bilingual in Korean.
• Underwrite SBA loans following the bank’s policies and procedures.
• Proficient in SBA 7a and SBA 504 programs.
• Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain clear and positive communication with all parties involved.
• Manage the loan review process efficiently, ensure timely responses, and complete transactions accurately.
• Guide and train team members involved in processing and funding loans.
• Ensure all loans comply with regulatory requirements.
• Stay informed about underwriting and lending guidelines; contribute suggestions for improvements.
• Review and sign off on underwriting conditions promptly.
• Perform quality control checks pre-funding on all loans.
• Adhere to all bank policies and applicable banking laws and regulations.

You also possess the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least three years of SBA 7a and 504 loan underwriting experience.
• Formal credit training preferred.

• Ability to handle a high volume of loan underwriting tasks.
