SSG PORTFOLIO MANAGER II WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY

The Portfolio Manager is part of the credit management team within CNB's workout group known as Special Situations or SSG. The portfolio consists primarily of criticized and classified C & I, Investor Commercial Real Estate, and Consumer loans. The role involves preparing periodic credit assessments, making credit recommendations, and maintaining the portfolio, working with Relationship Managers and SSG management to develop strategy and action plans to maximize CNB’s recovery.

WHAT

WILL YOU DO
  • Mentor junior colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Own and manage an assigned credit portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and risk management practices.
  • Analyze credit data and assess risk ratings, loss given default, accrual status, and collateral valuation; prepare underwriting memorandums and approval documents for SSG management.
  • Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, conduct periodic reviews and covenant tracking.
  • Analyze credit data to support risk assessments and present individual credit recommendations.
  • Maintain high standards of credit quality and origination in alignment with the bank’s credit risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Relationship Manager(s) to manage credit account relationships and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve strategic initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional client service, maintaining professionalism and effectively interacting with clients.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively increasing credit underwriting and portfolio management experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • Intermediate experience in credit management and lending operations.
  • Desire to build leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Intermediate analytical skills.
  • Industry-specific knowledge and expertise.

Starting base salary: $92,114.00 – $. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
