Senior Excess Construction Underwriter

National Carrier is looking for Senior Excess Construction Underwriter to join team on West Coast, ideally located in Los Angeles, open to Scottsdale and or San Francisco as well. Open to strong Construction underwriters who might want to learn Excess space. This will be in office role 4 days a week.

• Achieve budgeted regional production and profitability goals
• Develop and expand key broker relationships and drive marketing across the assigned territory
• Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality target opportunities across the region
• Assist with the development and implementation of underwriting strategies
• Monitor claim activity and profitability and proactively adjust strategies as needed
• Forecast and report production to regional and profit center leadership

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 2 years of Construction underwriting experience
• Experience with project/wraps preferred
• Strong construction broker relationships in assigned territory
• Proven sales and business development skills in a dynamic marketplace
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
