Job Description
In this credit analyst role at U.S. Bank, you will originate and monitor a commercial loan portfolio backed by the Small Business Administration. You will conduct complete credit analyses, gather and interpret all relevant credit information, and make recommendations on approvals, renewals, and extensions. Your work will help maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the company.
Responsibilities• Approve extensions of credit or recommend actions to final lending decision makers on new, renewal, and extension loans.
• Conduct thorough credit analysis of existing and prospective customers, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio review.
• Identify potential credit quality issues and determine appropriate courses of action to maintain high quality standards.
• Use technological tools and software to assist in the credit analysis process and evaluate potential outcomes.
• Make recommendations or decisions after considering various possibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically five or more years of relevant experience.
- Strong credit analysis and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysis.
- Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance.
- Effective technical report writing, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages.
- Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

Pay RangePay Range: $98,345.00 – $ (actual range may vary by location, role, and other factors). In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and pension benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
