Events Project Manager

IGN Entertainment is looking for a highly motivated and experienced events professional to join us as an Events Project Manager. This role will work with the IGN Events Team on the planning and execution of IGN’s high profile custom, tentpole, B2B, and sales event portfolio. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, manage vendor relationships, and ensure all event elements are delivered smoothly and on‑brand.

This role is a great fit for someone with strong project management skills, who thrives in a fast paced environment, and has a hands‑on approach to bringing events to life.

This is a hybrid, temporary position in Los Angeles, CA with required in‑office work during the week. The role starts at part‑time hours (20-25 hours per week), increasing to full‑time (40 hours per week) during our busy events season starting in May. Weekend work may be required for events and load in/out. Occasional international and domestic travel to events is required.

Event setup and strike require the ability to bend and lift up to 25 lbs. This role involves computer based work, which requires regular use of hands and vision. Occasional travel requires the navigation of hotels and airports.

• Report to the Sr. Director and help manage planning and physical execution for IGN’s key events, including Fan Fest, Summer of Gaming, IGN LIVE, gamescom, Comic‑Con, Games Industry Biz events (UK), and more.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Creative Solutions, Editorial, Video, Production, Marketing) and possibly lead meetings to ensure all event deliverables are scoped, scheduled, and executed on time.
• Work closely with Events & Sales to ensure event sponsorship and partnership deliverables are feasible and effectively executed.
• Manage communication across departments with the Sr. Director, Events & Sales Operations Director to track and manage event budgets, ensuring costs align with project goals.
• Serve as the point of contact during on‑site execution at events (domestic and international).
• Ability to navigate multiple departmental and partner needs as it relates to the goals of the event.
• Must be on‑site for load‑in and load‑out of IGN Experiential events.
• Create post‑event reports and recaps to capture performance, ROI, and opportunities for improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, or project management.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to self‑manage.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
• Experience with vendor management, budgeting, and contracts.
• Comfortable with travel, including international events.
• Portfolio of prior events/projects required.

• Knowledge of press/media activations and video production workflows is a plus.
• Passion for gaming and entertainment is a strong advantage.
