Downtown Music Publishing is seeking to bring on a Senior Manager to our Sync Licensing department. You will be working with the Director of Sync Licensing in all areas of synchronization licensing and administrative functions for our expansive catalog, based in New York, Los Angeles, or Nashville.
What you’ll do- Manage and lead a small team responsible for handling synchronization quotes and licensing requests
- Oversee the negotiations of synchronization terms and fees across advertising, film, television, video games, and new media
- Collaborate closely with the Client Services department to secure internal approvals for synchronization quote requests
- Review and issue synchronization quotes and licence agreements to third parties, ensuring compliance with copyright and licensing requirements
- Track and follow‑up on outstanding quotes, confirmed uses and request cue sheets as needed
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to streamline and improve the quote approval process
- Identify and pursue opportunities to maximise the exploitation of our diverse music catalog
- Manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with licensing requirements
- Perform additional ad‑hoc duties as assigned
- 5+ years of experience in music licensing, synchronization, or rights management, preferably at a music publisher, label or third‑party synchronization agent or related company
- Experience supervising and supporting a small team, including workflow management and performance oversight
- Solid understanding of music publishing, sync licensing and copyright
- Efficient leadership and decision‑making skills with the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- The ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment

Downtown Music provides a base salary range for all positions located in the United States at the time of posting. The hiring range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000 annually. Salary and related compensation are contingent on work experience, geographic location and relevant skills. The range does not include variable compensation components.
