Part‑time UX Researcher in USA
Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
We are looking for a part‑time UX Researcher to support user experience research for Tencent, Mihoyo, and other game companies.
As a UX Researcher, you will lead research on different types of games (e.g., FPS, Anime Game).
Your project experience will ensure that our game design decisions are informed by robust and strategic research insights.
You will collaborate with product managers, data analysts, UX designers, game designers, developers, and studio leaders to champion UX research that connects deeply with our player base and addresses the most crucial design challenges in the developing games.

Responsibilities- Carries out research using a variety of methods, including, but not limited to: play testing, usability testing, balance testing, focus groups, interviews, surveys, heuristic evaluations, card sorts, exploratory research.
- Develops and maintains a strategic research plan for assigned project(s).
- Communicates summarized research results directly to development teams for discussion and future implementation.
- 1+ years of experience conducting user experience research.
- Experience testing multiplayer shooter games is a plus.
- Experience with and passion for video games.
- Deep knowledge and experience designing and completing user research studies.
- Deep understanding and experience with the process of conducting scientific studies with participants in a laboratory.
- Part‑time: we will assign projects based on your experience and schedule.
- Our projects are hybrid; some are on‑site and some are online. Most of the on‑site projects would be arranged in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle.
