Overview
Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineering Manager to lead our Customer Quality initiatives and ensure our integrated circuit products meet the highest standards of excellence. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our technical manufacturing processes and our global customer base. You will be the primary technical point of contact for quality-related inquiries, driving root cause analysis and fostering long-term customer trust through transparent, data-driven communication.
- Customer Quality Leadership:
Serve as the primary quality advocate and technical interface for key customers, managing expectations and ensuring timely resolution of all quality concerns. - Failure Analysis & Resolution:
Lead cross-functional teams (Design, Foundry, Assembly, and Test) to resolve complex technical issues using the 8D problem-solving methodology. - Continuous Improvement:
Monitor manufacturing process stability and product performance data to identify trends and implement preventative quality measures. - Documentation & Reporting:
Author high-quality technical reports, failure analysis summaries, and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) documents. - Strategic Communication:
Facilitate technical discussions between internal engineering teams and customer stakeholders to align on specifications, reliability standards, and compliance.
- Education:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. - Experience:
10+ years of dedicated experience in customer quality engineering specifically within the integrated circuit (IC) or semiconductor industry. - Methodology:
Expert-level proficiency in 8D problem-solving and associated quality tools (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA). - Customer Mastery:
Proven track record in a direct customer-facing role, managing high-stakes quality escalations and technical audits. - Technical Breadth:
Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, wafer fabrication, and IC packaging/test.
- Exceptional Communication:
Ability to translate complex technical data into clear, concise, and factual written reports and verbal presentations. - Analytical Mindset:
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous technical failures in high-pressure environments. - Collaboration:
A "bridge-builder" who can influence internal manufacturing partners and external customers toward a common technical resolution.
