Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Deputy Systems Engineer Lead with an active Security Clearance to support our SiAW missile program with our talented Advanced Weapons team. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Northridge, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in the full systems engineering lifecycle of missile / weapon system development program(s) and leading at least part of that lifecycle.

They will also have the technical depth on one or more of the subsystems of missile/weapon system, e.g., RF/sensors, guidance, navigation, control, telemetry/communication, and airframe. This candidate will work directly with the program's Chief Engineer and Program Execution Manager and collaborate with the various IPTs to ensure the design and development of the different subsystems and the integration of those are technically sound on budget, and on schedule.

Responsibilities:
In this role, the selected candidate will (but not be limited to):
* Support the Lead Systems Engineer

* Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower-level requirements.

* Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.

* Generate well-defined and executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documents.

* Support the development of system architecture & design and test architecture on complex weapon systems in digital environment to mature the technologies of the systems.

* Support development of technical volume and cost volume for proposal; use historical actuals to develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs).

* Support system/subsystems integration, test, and requirements verification activities with other functions such as software and hardware.

* Support systems engineering metrics and technical performance measurement tracking.

* Support the preparation of system engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review, and other program reviews as needed.

* Interface with inter-organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status.

* Support Program Management activities to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met; support program status efforts including Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tracking and Control Account Management (CAM) activities.

* Support the management of critical subcontractors developing and testing tactical missile technologies and delivery of quality products. Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available. This position is contingent upon available funding/program award. Basic qualifications for a Staff Systems Engineer (T05) are:
