To apply, candidates must meet the following qualifications.
Qualifications- At least 3 years of experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting local area networks, wireless networks, VoIP systems, IP public address/intercom and IP video camera systems.
- Active CCNA certificate.
- Candidate must reside within 30 miles of Los Angeles at the time of hiring.
- 1 year in the following areas:
- Genetec Security Center 5.11 or newer
- Cisco or HP Enterprise network configuration
- Cisco and Aruba local wireless controller
- Cisco VoIP and CUCM
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Driver's license.
- Genetec Omnicast certification
- Genetec Synergis certification
- BICSI RCDD certification
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting local area networks, wireless networks, VoIP systems, IP public address/intercom and IP video camera systems.
- Configuring a variety of networking equipment.
- Analyzing and solving networking problems.
- Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards.
- Conducting site surveys and on-site assessments; preparing design/scope of work (SOW) for installations.
- Preparing clear and concise reports and technical documentation.
- Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively in writing and orally.
- Setting priorities and successfully completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Conduct site surveys.
- Develop scopes of work.
- Create bill of material.
- Accept equipment deliveries at warehouse.
- Generate e‑mails of status completions.
- Install power equipment (UPS/stepdown transformers).
- Install and configure network switches, modules, cards, etc.
- Install and configure IP converged system equipment.
- Install Cat6e/fiber patch cords.
- Troubleshoot LAN equipment.
- Maintain effective relationships with district personnel and other organizations.
- California driver's license and ownership of a car; able to carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
