• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on engineering experience in telecommunications and/or network infrastructure (with at least 2+ years in a relevant engineering capacity).
• Strong experience with IP/MPLS networks (configuration, operation, testing) and SONET fiber optic networks.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies, network architecture, deployment methodologies, and Network Management Systems (NMS).
• Experience with Cisco routers/switches and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Experience designing and migrating circuits/services from legacy (e.g., SONET/TDM) to modern IP/MPLS-based systems.
• Proven project management skills, including leading scope, cost, schedule, resources, risk management, and performance tracking/reporting across multi-functional teams.
• Familiarity with utility-specific telecommunications (protective relaying, SCADA/telemetry, grid communications).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to interface with internal teams, management, and external partners.
• Commitment to safety protocols, ethical practices, continuous learning, and staying current with technological trends and innovations.
• Ability to handle stress, make effective decisions, deliver results, and improve customer satisfaction/productivity.
