CDMS is seeking an innovative Senior Consultant with a demonstrated ability to solve complex EHS problems, identify and deliver environmental consulting services that make a positive impact on our industrial clients and their workforce. This role will be located in our Long Beach, CA (SoCal) or Dublin, CA (Nor Cal) offices and will be responsible for developing new client opportunities and engagements for our company and supporting our range of EHS services such as Hazardous Waste/Materials management, Storm Water, Air Quality and Wastewater compliance.
The ideal candidate will have proven consultative business development experience in EHS consulting, keen business sense, and drive to build lasting, win-win partnerships with clients, team members and key business allies. - Meet new clients and network with the broad industrial community in California to develop long-lasting relationships.
- Support sales functions such as providing input on sales and marketing strategy, collaborating on sales efforts, and impacting client growth.
- Provide exceptional technical expertise to clients.
- Preparing reports for our clients to follow guidance and regulations designed by EPA, DTSC, local CUPAs, Fire departments, Water boards and other federal, state and local government agencies.
- Assisting with permitting requirements and documentation (air quality, wastewater, Tiered Permitting, storm water, etc.).
- Conducting training for employees of client companies.
- Conducting monitoring (air monitoring, soil sampling, etc.).
- Conducting compliance audits.

- Resourceful self-starter ready to take on new assignments and get creative.
- The ability to work independently.
- A high attention to detail and strong project management skills.
- A personable demeanor and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable conducting trainings to groups of 10-40 people (10% of the job).
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Geology or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineering or Professional Geologist certification a plus.
- Consulting background in Hazardous Waste/Materials management, Stormwater and Wastewater compliance, Air Quality and Training ideal.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Skilled at researching, gathering, organizing and analyzing data from various sources.
