Location:
Los Angeles, CA (onsite with client sites; may require various shifts).
- You'll collaborate with teams and airport management to develop project budgets, schedules, and plans.
- You'll review and provide initial approval of TOS acquisition packages for accuracy, completeness, and LAWA Design and Construction Handbook (DCH) compliance.
- You'll prepare draft NTP letters and supporting clarification documents as requested by the Program Manager.
- You'll coordinate design-related building modification requests and oversee exemption request reviews.
- You'll lead preconstruction and weekly project meetings, ensuring proper documentation.
- You'll coordinate with airport stakeholders to meet administrative, technical, engineering, and closeout objectives.
- You'll manage project scope and maintain all project correspondence, agreements, reports, drawings, and specifications.
- You'll work closely with the Design Manager throughout design and construction to resolve technical and compliance issues.
- You'll oversee shop drawing reviews, mockups, acceptance tests, and participate in testing, commissioning, and punch list closeout.
- You'll monitor Agencies Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) permit reviews and enforce LAWA DCH requirements and supplemental guidelines.
- You'll anticipate and resolve conflicts across design, construction, operations, safety, and commissioning while liaising with key airport divisions.
- You'll manage submittal/RFI processes, evaluate change proposals, review pay applications, prepare reports—including risk and construction progress—and enforce QA/QC.
- You'll lead, mentor, and develop project staff while coordinating with designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Onsite at client site: the work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships. May be required to work various shifts, including day, swing, and night.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or other related technical field required
- 15 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects
- Experience with projects more than $50 million in value
- Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build
- Master's degree preferred
- Relevant professional licensure and/or certification are strongly preferred (e.g., AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP)
- Ability to work in CAD or REVIT is a plus
$204,501 - $224,952 a year
Compensation varies by location, role, skill set, and experience. A reasonable range is provided where required by local law for roles that may be hired in certain states.
