Your impactAt Jacobs, we’re making our world better with every water and wastewater project we complete, and we know the importance of quality assurance to the success of these projects. We’re looking for a skilled Project Engineer to manage and supervise subcontract and material resources in relation to construction / installation for a complex water / wastewater facility project. Based in Los Angeles, CA, you’ll work with Resident and Project Engineers to ensure technical documentation is up to date, including submittals, RFIs, design changes, and record documents.
Here’swhat you will be doing
- Ensure quality levels are met at trades level
- Monitor and supervise health and safety including active participation in toolbox talks
- Manage the receipt, storage and handling of process equipment
- Support project plan implementation for quality, change management, and safety.
- Bachelor of Science in an applicable field with a minimum of 3 years of specific construction project experience
- Experience in the delivery of municipal water, wastewater, water resources and/or conveyance type work
- Working knowledge of construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building
- Willingness to travel to other sites as needed (up 30% of the time)
- Physical and environmental demands include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility; ability to climb, stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. May require dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory endurance. Work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery that includes high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, some defined confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals typical in the water and wastewater design‑build industry.
