Transportation Electrical Cost Estimator – West

We are looking for a seasoned Transportation Electrical Cost Estimator to support projects across the Western United States. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating projects ranging from $5M to $10B in size for transportation, heavy civil, bridge, transit, rail, airports, and urban development. The role includes reviewing design documents, proposals, specifications, and drawings, attending design development meetings, and assessing risk and cost impacts to develop accurate estimates.

• Develop capital cost estimates for transportation/transit projects.
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.
• Review and validate change orders.
• Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.
• Maintain organized and detailed files, project records, and logs.
• Attend project meetings as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in transportation projects.
• Proficient use of MS Office, HCSS (Heavy Bid) estimating software, and Blue Beam.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 10–15 years of estimating and construction experience related to heavy civil construction.
• Alternative delivery procurement experience.
• Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk, and schedule.
• Certifications such as CEP, CCP, PMP, or CCM are a plus.
