Project Controls Engineer – Los Angeles, CA

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join the team in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on critical path method scheduling for design and construction rail transit projects.

• Providing and overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support client’s program.
• Reviewing periodic CPM updates, providing Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
• Performing data gathering, qualitative and quantitative analysis with independence.
• Coordinating with project teams to assess reporting, identify potential delays, and create accurate forecasts.
• Interacting with clients under general direction and attending client meetings.
• Assisting in report writing and visual representations of data.
• Demonstrating commitment to keeping up-to-date with current practices.
• Learning and growing to produce high‑quality business support and professional deliverables on projects and proposals.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience developing and managing project schedules.
• Experience with critical path method analysis using Primavera.
• Providing input and comments to the department of project controls, including review, validation, and analysis of contractors’ schedules for compliance.
• Verifying schedule compliance with contract requirements and industry best practices.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
• Effective reporting and communication skills.
• Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
• Team player with strong communication skills.

Expected Salary: $81,500 – $115,100. WSP offers a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings.
