- Deliver conceptual and preliminary engineering for Rail & Transit.
- Coordinate plans for the client with other agencies and stakeholders.
- Prepare and update technical reports and specifications.
- Participate in the preparation of material quantities and cost estimates.
- Develop operating schematics for train‑handling procedures within confined terminal facilities.
- Undertake and advise on operational modeling for Rail and Transit projects.
- Assist with Project Management duties for Rail and Transit projects.
- Work effectively as part of a growing team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or another transportation‑related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Rail & Transit.
- Working toward Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in California.
- Good working knowledge of the Class 1 Railroad design standards.
- Experience in freight rail yard train operation and train handling.
- Experience developing layouts for rail facilities to meet operating requirements.
- Working knowledge and experience of design and data‑management software including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, VISSIM, and Syncro.
- Experience with complex modern urban‑style rapid transit projects in North America.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients and project teams.

Expected salary: $91,000 – $112,000, adjusted based on location, education, experience, and unique skills.
